The organisations teamed up with EnterpriseCUBE to give their tenants the chance to be their own boss, starting with a free 12-week online course. The course lasted for 12 sessions and gave the tenants the opportunity to learn everything they needed to know about starting a successful business.

Once the 12 weeks passed, the organisations put together a Dragon’s Den style judging panel of 4 representatives, each from different organisations including Active Housing by Hallnet, Phoenix Community Housing, Metropolitan Thames Valley and EnterpriseCUBE.

The dragons were then presented with multiple business ideas, which were put together by participants of the 12 week course. The dragons had to select their favourite business plans and explain why they liked them. The stakes were high in the competition, as there were multiple £100 cash prizes to be given out to the winners.

We were over the moon to be invited to judge on the panel, as well as share our insights into how to grow a successful business. It was great to be a part of such an inspiring initiative and we wish the best of luck to all participants and their future businesses.
